Cater Walsh Reporting Limited and Cater Walsh Transcription Limited are providers of official court reporting and transcription services to the legal profession, particularly HM Courts Service, government departments, public bodies, solicitors, and individuals.

Both companies are long-established providers of these services, Cater Walsh & Co having been founded in Birmingham in 1948.

Cater Walsh Transcription Ltd is on the Department for Constitutional Affairs' list of official transcribers (the Tape Transcription Panel), enabling us to transcribe the Department's own recordings from all courts in England and Wales, including the Royal Courts of Justice. We can undertake transcription from both analogue and digital recordings for all those requiring them – courts, government departments, public bodies, solicitors and private individuals. The company has been continuously on the Department's approved list of transcribers for more than 30 years.

Cater Walsh Transcription Ltd is also a major provider of transcriptions from videotape, and of police interview recordings.

Cater Walsh Reporting Ltd provides qualified stenographers to take the official record in Crown and High Courts. We cover all types of proceedings where an official record is required, including company meetings, examinations under the Companies Acts, commission rogatoire, disciplinary proceedings, public inquiries and many others.
